Long Term Suvival Cache

Most of us Casual Survivalists don't have a compound in the mountains or bomb shelter or the like, cool as that would be; we're mainly apartment dwellers. So, if you're going to plan for the day when society really goes tits up and you need to look at 6 months of hunkering down, the first item to put into your Long Term Survival kit is the phone number of and directions to your rich friend on those 22 acres in the middle of nowhere. And of course, several handles of good hooch.
We'll flesh out more of the Long Term Survival stuff before too long, but if you are really anxious to stockpile for several months hunkering, I recommend the Life After The Oil Crash Preparedness Store.

Urban Survival
This site is useless. The best you can do is suggest having the phone number and directions to rich friends in the country? First, what if the phone system is out? If the roads, bridges and other travel corridors are clogged with the other urban rats trying to get out, how will you get there? Being prepared means being prepared, not relying on someone else for your survival. I suggest going to ****.com for some really useful information. If you happen to wander onto our property in the 'middle of nowhere', and you're not a friend, don't expect a welcome wagon to greet you.
Spot on!
Hey Broheim - thanks for the feedback and that's true, the above plan is hardly comprehensive. Naturally, if the phone system goes out, it's time for cyanide pills which I thought went without saying.
We have a full revamp of our bug out kits, 3-week Hunker Pantry roll-out, and the Long Term Survival Creche Inventory in the works, and yes, pretty overdue !
Thanks for visiting, and keep watching the skies!
